Calprone contains:
Recommended dosage: 3–3.5 L/ha
General Information
Calprone is a foliar fertiliser which is a highly efficient source of calcium for fruit, enriched with micronutrients: boron (B), molybdenum (Mo), and manganese (Mn).
The Lipophilic Calcium Technology used in the product provides perfect coverage on fruit surface and high affinity for fruit cuticle.
Effective Calcium Absorption by Fruit
Calcium penetrates easily through cuticle and is delivered directly to fruit.
By effectively providing plants with calcium, Calprone prevents the occurrence of physiological disorders, e.g. bitter pit on apples. It improves fruit firmness and fruit storage ability.
Also, boron, molybdenum and manganese improve plant health and growth, especially under adverse growing conditions.
Longer Freshness
Calprone significantly extends the shelf life of fruits by improving their firmness and reducing weight loss.
Fruit retains its marketable value longer and better withstands intensive handling and transport. This leads to reduced post-harvest losses and greater logistical and sales flexibility.
Sunburn Reduction
Calprone, in higher dosages, can be used as a sprayable sunburn protectant to reduce sunburn symptoms.
Calprone is based on the Lipophilic Calcium Technology.
The technology enables conversion of calcium carbonate into a form with lipophilic properties, easily penetrating through fruit cuticle. This results in excellent fruit surface coverage and high affinity for fruit cuticle.
Three Major Benefits for Farmers
High calcium content in fruit
Lower risk of calcium-related physiological disorders
High quality marketable yield
It is recommended to use Calprone in a tank mix with Megis for enhanced results.
