Megis contains
Recommended dosage: 0.5–0.75 L/ha | 0.1%
The treatments can be carried out either before the stress affects the cultivation and during the occurrence of stress factors.
General information
Megis is a plant growth stimulant containing highly bioavailable silicon (Si), micronutrients (Zn, Cu, Mo, B) and organic acids.
Megis guarantees fast absorption and deep penetration of silicon into plant tissues. It works by enhancing the mechanical resistance of plants, increasing the content of phytoalexins, and stimulating plant metabolic processes.
Megis is a potent quality yield enhancer. It is also an effective tool in integrated crop protection, which allows to reduce the use of pesticides.
Silicon nutrition increases plants’ ability to resist fungal and bacterial diseases and sucking pests
Tissues incrustation with silicon limits the population of sucking pests. It also enhances plants’ ability to resist fungal and bacterial diseases, e.g. downy mildew, alternaria leaf spot.
Reduction of plant physiological disorders
Megis effectively reduces the occurrence of many physiological disorders of plants, including necrotic leaf blotch of apple.
Improved plant resistance to abiotic stresses
Megis reduces the negative effects of many abiotic stresses such as drought, high temperature and sunburns. Incorporated into a sunburn protection strategy, it allows to reduce yield losses.
Better quality and yield
The product improves fruit firmness, reduces fruit cracking and increases the strength of fruit skin. As a result, Megis boosts fruit and vegetable shelf life and cuts waste. The product also improves apple colouration.
In addition, Megis enhances the dietary value of fruit and vegetables by increasing the polyphenol content.
Megis is based on the Fast Absorbing Silicium Technology, which facilitates the absorption and deep penetration of silicon into plant tissues. This helps to maximise the silicon utilisation and ensures its highly beneficial effects on plants.
Three major benefits for farmers
Reduced the risk of yield loss caused by stress
Better crop quality, e.g. firmness
Longer shelf life
It is recommended to use Megis in a tank mix with Calprone.
